Dr. Nicholas Mickelson grew up in Fargo, North Dakota. His passion for dentistry started at an early age and is rooted in his family’s experience in medicine. He attended University of North Dakota where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences.
Continuing his studies, he left for the sunny shores of Florida to attend LECOM School of Dental Medicine where he was a member of the inaugural class. Dr. Mickelson also had the opportunity to practice dentistry in Erie, PA at an outreach clinic during his final year of dental school.
Dr. Mickelson believes in creating the best possible patient experience beyond just the appointment and finds meaning in connecting with his patients by taking an active role in enhancing their health. He has continued to expand the scope of his practice through expansive continuing education in the United States, Brazil and the Dominican Republic. Dr. Mickelson is proficient in both Portuguese and Spanish.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, going out to eat, fishing and golfing.
